Leanne Jones has been working at the intersection of international development and research and innovation at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (and its predecessor, DFID) for over 10 years. Having received a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Economics at the Australian National University, Leanne relocated to London where she spent 10 years designing and managing innovative climate policies and programmes in different parts of the UK Government and in international consultancies.

In 2014 while working at DFID, Leanne completed a Masters in Innovation and Sustainability for International Development at Sussex University. Since October 2019, Leanne has been based in Lagos, leading a new team in the British Deputy High Commission to boost partnership with West African countries on science, technology and innovation for the prosperity of all.
