JOKE A. BADEJO received the B.Tech. degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Nigeria, in 2003, the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degree from Covenant University, Nigeria, in 2007 and 2015 respectively; all in Computer Engineering. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at Covenant University, Nigeria.

During her Ph.D., she received the International Association for Pattern Recognition and MORPHO grant in 2012 for Biometrics training. She was also a Visiting Doctoral Student at Biomedical Signal Analysis Laboratory at Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY, USA, in 2015. Her research interests include Biometrics & Biomedical Image Analysis, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Software Engineering. She has authored/co-authored about 35 scholarly articles in ISI/CPCI indexed journals and conference proceedings.

She currently leads the Data Analytics team, which supports data-driven decision making in Covenant University. She is a member of several professional bodies such as the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Joke enjoys being an academic and loves contributing impactful and cost-effective solutions to current societal engineering problems in Africa.
